Titan: The Leader in Sports Performance
Successful athletic performance is built on a strategy: Titan works with individual athlete's goals to develop a personalized plan for long-term success.

Titan strives to understand your personal needs and aspirations to create a strategy that will enable these goals to be achieved in the safest, most effective method possible. In doing so, we seek to create and maintain deep and valuable relationships with the athletes we train.

Producing substantial results is not based on a 1-hour training session. Titan's training strategy is a combination of scientific principles, forward thinking and the highest quality of training. Titan's staff has combined training experience of over 35 years and all of Titan's Directors of Athletic Performance are certified with the National Strength & Conditioning Association as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS). Our staff is comprised of athletes, competing in local, national and world-class events. Below are just a few performance areas our training targets.

Robb Bolton, M.S. ATC, CSCS - Director of Athletic Performance
Bolton has an M.S. in Sports Business Management, as well as a B.S. in Sports Medicine and a B. A. in Biology. He has been a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 1996. Growing up in Arizona, he was active in competitive skiing, wrestling, track, baseball, and soccer. Soccer became his primary focus, and after playing in high school and college he played professionally for two years. Bolton leads an active life that includes coaching and playing soccer, practicing martial arts, and outrigger canoe paddling. As an Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Bolton has worked with Olympic, professional, collegiate, world champion teams and athletes. His passion is creating sport specific training programs that enhance all aspects of athletic performance.

Jacques DeVore, CSCS - President
DeVore is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and licensed as an expert USA Cycling Coach. Prior to Titan, DeVore was CEO of Vert Centers of Santa Monica, a sports performance rehabilitation center, where he developed all the strength and conditioning programs and trained many elite athletes. He has been a competitive athlete his entire life, competing in wrestling at the University of California, Davis. DeVore has also competed in track, cross-country, lacrosse, martial arts tournaments, and full contact kickboxing. In bicycle racing, DeVore competes at an expert level on the mountain bike and a Cat III road racer.

Jeana Scarlett, CSCS - Performance Coach & Personal Trainer
Scarlett has a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University with an emphasis in fitness, health, and nutrition. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. Her athletic background is in soccer and softball.
For the last 5 years she has trained numerous professional and elite level athletes including: LA Galaxy, Chivas USA, Women’s National Soccer Team, various NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA athletes, NFL Combine athletes, AVP's Misty May , and USTA athletes.
Her goal is to improve the performance of athletes through proper education and application of training programs.
Ben Koski, BA - Performance Coach
Koski is a Santa Barbara native who has been involved in athletics and volleyball since childhood. He played collegiate volleyball at UCSB and now is playing professionally on the AVP tour. In addition to playing, he also coaches junior level volleyball for both boys and girls. He has been a performance coach at Titan for 3 years.You can find Koski kayak fishing, training or relaxing at the beach in his spare time.
Nate Mims, ISSA - Performance Coach
Nate is a certified personal fitness trainer, with particular interest in sports training and conditioning. Nate has been part of CIF championship wrestling teams and has also competed individually at state, national and world wresting tournaments at a high school and college level. After graduating high school, he has spent the last two years as a personal trainer working exclusively with athletes and coaching high school and youth wrestling while continuing a degree in kinesiology and radiology.
 
Titan’s Overweight Children Program:

The Overweight Children Program involves the development of an individualized strength and conditioning program for each child. Training is performed with a trainer on an appointment-only basis, with a maximum number of 3 supervised sessions per week.

The goal of the class is to improve the health, body composition and overall athleticism as well as nutrition education to both parent and child.

This program will focus on:
Building better health
Improving body composition
Enhancing the movement skills specific to young children
Nutrition/health eating education for parents and children
Cardiovascular fitness
Injury prevention
Coordination
Dynamic movement skills

These skills will be taught by professional trainers of Titan Sports and Fitness Center. Our staff has worked with athletes and children of all ages and abilities for over 15 years.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

FIT Circuit
Our cardiovascular/strength training combo class to kick off a great start to the day! This class is geared toward building cardiovascular strength while strengthening and defining long, lean muscles. This class really energizes you by alternating cardiovascular exercise with strength training (machines and free weights) at a quick, timed pace. Begin with a heart-pumping, 10-minute cardiovascular warm-up in our cardio room. Then 25 solid minutes of muscle-strengthening using machines, stability balls and free weights. It concludes with a 15-minute invigorating whole-body stretch and light ab work.

Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 am - 9:00 am & 9:00am - 10:00am

Golden Gears Senior Circuit
A great mid-day workout for our over-55 crowd! This is our most dynamic, instructor-led circuit workout for every fitness level. Starting with a 10-minute cardiovascular warm-up then onto a 30-minute balance, stability and agility exercises. The class continues with a 30-minute strength training circuit using our machines and free weights.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Open Hours
Come in and work out at your own discretion. Use our free weights, weight machines, or cardio equipment: move at your own pace and stay as long as you need. A qualified staff member can assist you with any questions you may have. If you require more individualized attention, personal training is available.
